About the leads,
Kangaroo leather is stronger than other leathers because of it unique properties. As Kangaroo is used it
becomes buttery soft and is Lightweight and easy on the hands.
Qualities prized by dog handlers.
All of our leads are waterproofed and conditioned before sale but it MUST be understood these are generally Light duty SHOW leads (4 thong). If you are going to use the lead on a stronger dog, I can core the lead to add a little extra strength to it (only cored on request).
Use with trained dogs, is always recommended.


The truth about Kangaroo leather leads... Kangaroo leather is strong, BUT....
They CAN break if abused, conditioned with the wrong products, or being a natural product there is a hidden flaw in the hide that is not obvious when the lace is cut.  I currently work with 3/22- 1/8" (2.5-3mm) lace in a standard 4 thong round braid. Each lead has a finished width of 1/8-1/4" thick. It is important to be realistic about the dog you will be using your lead on, and your responsibility to choose appropriately.
I personally use a 4 thong lead with my Aussies, with the 1 1/2 " sized snap, or attached to a collar/chain.  I do stand behind my leashes, so in some cases if a lead brakes, I may be able to repair or replace it at no charge or minimal charge to you.

I have a limited number of leads and have them listed that are done and ready to ship. I do also take a limited number of  "made to order" I am at most dog shows around the country and will carry what stock I have. 

Please note ... I do this on MY SPARE TIME AS A HOBBY so custom orders can take 1-2 weeks to make and ship. Orders are limited by what I am working on, or sometimes if I have a particular colour of lace.

The leads are braided in 1, 2 or 3 colours.  Prices for the leads start at R300 and exclude shipping costs.
